The Saginaw Sting will go dark for the 2010 season, but the owners are looking at options to bring indoor football back in 2011.
The River City Rage have folded. The owner, who also owns the Omaha Beef, says he needs to concentrate on one team.
The Muskegon Thunder have relocated to Grand Rapids and will be known as the West Michigan Thunderhawks
With the AF2 shutting down the Amarillo Dusters and the Greenbay Blizzard have joined the IFL instead of the AF1.
The Austin Turfcats have moved to the IFL after one season in the SIFL.
The Chicago Slaughter have joined the IFL after 2 seasons in the CIFL.
The Arctic Predators will not make it into the league for the 2010 season.
The Everett Destoryers and the Kent team will not make it to the field. |

|
|
| Quote: | | North Little Rock, AR: Due to the recent dissolve of the AFL and AF2 and the move to the new and exciting IFL, the Arkansas Twisters are forced to change their team name. "We took over the team before last season so Little Rock would not have another sports team fold. We did it for the community and now we are asking the community for their help" says Jim Smith, co-owner. The Arkansas Twisters are asking the community to submit suggestions as to what they want the new team name to be. |
| Quote: | Due to legal complications, the Amarillo Dusters name and logo may no longer be used, the team announced Thursday.
"We're moving forward and the next step will be renaming the team," commented Owner Randy Sanders. "I now turn to the creative people of the Panhandle for help in order to find a new identity for their indoor football team beginning in 2010." |
But this means two new helmets |

| The owners of the Generals tried to sell the team in time to allow them play in 2010 but could not find a buyer. |

Arkansas, home to the eighth-largest diamond mine in the world and the only one in the United States, is proud to have the world's only public diamond mine and this new name reflects that state pride.

Unfortunately there are no photos yet.
| Quote: | Roughnecks Reacquire DL Jermaine Blakely, Re-Sign SS Johnny Anderson & Present New Helmet Logo
February 11, 2010 -
In relation to the changes the Roughnecks organization has gone through this off-season, the West Texas Roughnecks additionally announced and presented on Thursday, February 11, the new helmet logo for the 2010 season. The new helmet logo features the state of Texas with a football wrapping around the state. Additionally, the workman's helmet featured on the former logo is now placed hanging on top of the state. The colors blue, black, white and gold are all featured in the new logo. The change in the Roughnecks helmet logo is the first in team history. |
And they will wear a green helmet for their home opener. Most teams wear special jerseys, this is the first time I have heard of a indoor team wearing special helmets to auction off.
